So the DSG on my 2017 S3 had a mechatronic error that caused a bearing to fail. I dropped the transmission and opened it up, and noticed the 6th gear was a bit chewed up. I was able to buy a cheap replacement that was good mechanically, but had a bad mech unit also.
I am wondering if I get my mechatronic unit repaired, would I be able to use the replacement DSG with my old mechatronic unit? Also, the replacement DSG has an SGA ID while the broken DSG has a PZS ID. Are these two interchangeable, or do they have different gear ratios and such?
