- What I Drive
- 2018 AMG C43
New member here. Would appreciate being pointed toward discussion threads that match my interest.
In a nutshell: I'm at the end of my lease on a 2019 MBZ AMG C43 and leaning toward purchasing a new Audi vehicle, with the RS3 at the top of my list. The S4 would likely be my second choice. Enjoyed driving the AMG car, particularly for power and the way it grips the road. The downside is that it has a bit too much lateral movement, required my switching to non-run-flat tires for a smoother ride, and it garners a bit too much negative attention for being a somewhat 'flashy' car.
Thus the interest in the RS3 and its sleeper appeal. I also like the idea of a smaller car. I have a truck to drive as well, so I like the idea of my primary car being maneuverable, easy to park, fit in the garage, etc. The 400 HP will help in transitioning from the AMG without feeling cheated. The things I am concerned about have mostly to do with the interior. I've owned A4s in the past and am familiar with the look and feel. Is the RS3 really that big a step down in terms of interior, or is it mostly a size thing? From what I can tell they are nicely constructed, just a tad less well-appointed than the S4 / A4.
