Hey Everyone,

Thank you in advance for any guidance on this, but I have identified a loose component behind the C-pillar trim (interior) of my Sedan 8Y RS3 (2023). I am having a hard time prying that piece off, it's on there pretty good and I don't want to break anything getting too aggressive, I was wondering if anyone has any experience removing this trim piece and any tips?

I purchased a guide and it describes that I effectively need to take the entire entry trim/C-pillar apart (pretty much all the trim pieces shown in that image) to remove that one small trim piece, which I find absurd and borderline antagonistic by Audi trim Engineers. Maybe this is God's punishment for me buying a sedan RS3?

I pretty much have a loose bolt/washer/mystery component courtesy of Audi Ingolstadt in there, and shoving closed cell foam pieces in there has not resolved it, the (inaccessible) crevice behind that trim piece seems to be too cavernous.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you.

Looks like a PIA, but at the 5:00 mark should help you.

Thank you!

Spent an hour or so attempting to take the panels apart, as my 8Y seems to be a bit different from the 8V it's looking like I need to disassemble everything in the area (including the rear parcel shelf, all the other C-pillar panels (which are large). I'm still under warranty so I took it to the dealership to see what they say, but I'll update the thread with more info as I receive it. My dealership usually sends videos/images with details on the work they do.

Taking it to the dealer was a great choice since you're still under warranty.

Well dealer found the loose clip, reinstalled it- and after talking with them yes it really does require removal of all the panels in the area to get to that little trim piece... Unfortunately, this has not stopped my rattle so it seems there's another loose component somewhere lol. Back to square one and digging around until I find it. I'll update this thread if I find it. It's a hollow plastic on plastic/metal rattle that occurs between 15-45mph and goes away at highway speeds. Coming from the rear (parcel shelf, C-pillar) area. Hard to hear on a camera phone mic but I'll try to get some audio.

Thanks again everyone!
