Hi, so I’m working on this 8v Audi S3 and I’ve been left in confusion as to what this problem could be. I originally took out the engine and gearbox for a rebuild. New chains and the full works etc. Car was running fine before with no codes just the timing needed doing. After reinstalling the engine then the gearbox the engine is running amazingly but I have a few issues.
1st issue, this is my Snap on Solus+ reading the codes, but the the esc fault is on the dashboard as well as TPMS and steering goes tougher but if I clear it and I’ll drive it’ll go away for a few seconds then kick back in.
2nd issue, the transmission cycles through all gears smoothly but if I’m in first and plant my foot when I reach higher revs the transmission jumps out of gear and the car throws itself forward as it bogs down then it finds 2nd or 3rd after a couple seconds and continues. No idea what this could be as the transmission was fine prior to reinstalling into the car.
I have attached pictures of the codes. I suspect it’s some sort of CAN communication fault as so many modules are affected but can’t for the life of me figure out how/where as I’m sure I’ve plugged everything in. The only thing that isn’t is the sensor that goes to the A/C pump as that ripped off and I’m waiting for a depinner to repair the wires. Could this have cause some sort of can fault between the whole car?? As I’m sure the AC plug only has a live and ground and no signal wire.
P.S I have ghost immobiliser so don’t mind the ecu disabled/TCM locked
