Hi,
I’m hoping someone has experienced this before and can help me identify the issue, as it’s driving me mad. When driving with the window down, I can hear a ticking noise that sounds very similar to a stone stuck in the tyre tread. I’ve taken each wheel off and removed any embedded stones, but that hasn’t solved it. The noise changes pitch with road speed and also seems louder when braking. The pads and discs are all relatively new, and the tyres still have plenty of tread left. I can’t work out whether it’s coming from one side or both. When passing cars or walls, it sounds like it’s coming from whichever side the sound is reflecting from, but I believe it’s coming from the front. I’ve also re-seated the brake pads in case they were chattering, but that hasn’t made any difference. Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated. Has anyone had anything similar?
