Poor MPG

Evening all,

I’ve just bought a S3 8P (2007) and have been loving it so far. However, I’ve been doing quite a few motorway miles in it and have been driving like a grandma on the motorway to see what MPG I can get from it. I’ve been averaging a rather low 25mpg which seems really low given I’ve been driving so gently. It doesn’t really make much of a change if I cruise along at 70mph or 80mph with cruise control on or off. Has anyone got any suggestions as to why this may be?

with the age of that car a lot of things can cause low mpg. also what is the stated mpg when it was new? that number might be pretty normal for that car.
either way, do a full tune-up. that should be fun.

also, people tend to forget to check alignments and tire pressure.
