Hello, I am looking for some help with my Audi S3 8V. Recently I have had 2 occasions where the car hasn’t wanted to go into gear. When putting it into drive it will flash and rev on the spot without moving. Today after coming out of the supermarket I put it into gear and it flashed but still tried to pull away, it was really jerky almost like a slipping clutch and weren’t driving nice therefore I had to pull over and plug in my scanning tool. the code I got was P072600 which I also got the first time this happened (last week). The code is for the speed signal from the ECU being out of range. A little research says the speed signal is read from the crank position sensor so I was wondering where I can locate that? The car drives flawlessly the rest of the time so I’m lost for ideas on why it has this fault every now and again. Any advice on what may be causing this issue would be appreciated. I don’t have VCDS but I have attached an imagine of the codes scanned. The 2 to focus on are P072600 and U040200.
