Hi Everyone,

I just purchased a 2019 Audi RS3 that has the LED headlights. I tried the high beams for the first time and immediately received the error "Left high beam headlight defective" and it does not light up. Are these headlights sealed units where you have to replace the whole assembly if an LED bulb fails or are the individula bulbs serviceable?

Fault codes? Fuses? Also disconnect and reconnect the plug to the headlamp a few times to remove possible oxidation

Here is the fault code. I don't believe it could be a fuse as the rest of the LED headlight works just fine and fuses are not labelled for high and low beam separately. I will try and see if i can disconnect and reconnect the plug. Is there a separate module on the headlight for the high beam LED's? Thanks!

Did you get an answer to your headlamp question or figure it out, we are having the same issue.

Yes. They are a sealed unit and bulbs cannot be replaced. The unit is very expensive and requires the bumper to be removed to be replaced. Fortunately, the dealer is covering it or the cost would have been about 6k CAD installed. You can get aftermarket unit for about half that cost but quality is unknown. Audi states the LED lights are supposed to last the life of the vehicle.

Ours is a brand new unit we are installing so we will contact the dealer to see what they will do, we just bought this headlamp about 2 weeks ago.

Thanks for answering so quickly.
