Hi guys just want some help. So my Audi s3 had michelin pilot sport tyres and stuck to road like it should with no wheel spinning in dry or wet and could launch the car with no wheel spin. Now I've changed to the michelin pilot sport 4s all 4 tyres changed. And all of a sudden I'm getting my traction light kicking in all the time losing power. If I turn my traction off if goes like it should but still wheels spins more at the front wheels. So it now feels that more power is going to the front and not going to the rear wheels. Audi did alot of work on the car last year due to the same problem occurring so they changed alot of parts on the 4wheel drive system which didint fix the problem so in the end they put a new gearbox in the car and it sorted the problem. So feel like I can eliminate haldex pump rear diff problems just because it's all new and the problem has only started happening since fitting these new Michelin ps4s. Anyone else had similar issues after changing tyres

I haven't had that problem But if you changed from the pilot sport Max Performance Summer to the sport 4 all season which is a harder compound that could be causing more wheel spin. If they're both the max summer well then I would think the issue is somewhere else.
If you don't think that there is anything wrong and it's just the tires you could adjust the power going to the rear with something cheap like OBDeleven https://obdeleven.com/en/

Cheers for reply mate I've seen a few posts now that the Michelin pilot 4s cause issues with the traction and 4wd. My front tyres are now nearly bald after 2months lol and rears are still like new. So I'm just guna change all 4 tyres back to the michelin pilot sport 4 now. And see if it goes back to what it was like before changing the tyres. Hopefully it will fix the problem. Can defo feel my 4wd working tho only sometimes but seems like different surfaces of roads lose traction will let you know if it changes when I change these tyres cheers

Curious do you have a manual? I don't even have that issue with my all season tires. I could definitely see a manual being more demanding on traction. Unfortunately we're screwed in the US with only the auto as an option :( would love to drive my car with a manual.

here is a possible remedy.
do a rear haldex calibration. these computer based cars seem to need a reboot of the ecu component sometimes. mine worked out well after i did that. and it didnt matter if i changed out he fluid either. i would say the system needs a reboot/calibration once in a while or at least once or twice a year.

alot of it also plays in with the power system such as how healthy is your cars battery. many people dont like to buy a new battery when the time comes. this is usually a good reason many of our electrical systems go wacky as it needs the full amperage to function properly.

use vcds or some other system you feel comfortable with. i used vcds.
