I am fitting a TR779L double din unit to my 1999 Audi S3. Ran a bench test and it was working perfectly, touchscreen looks very crisp and clean.
What’s great about it is the cost savings. Look at comparable Pioneer and Kenwood units, they are at least double or even triple price. First are the savings, next are the important features which make this head unit worthy to buy. When it opens up to the 7″ inch LCD screen, you can listen to the radio, listen to a disk, use handsfree Bluetooth, or stream music. The front features the typical controls you’d usually find on a double din head unit, what you’d ALSO find here are AUX, USB and SD Card ports for music. This is probably the best car stereo head unit that is double din, for budget oriented buyers.
A few days ago, i installed it in my car, unfortunately, i found none of the connectors on the factory loom corresponded to the connections on the rear of the TR779L. i got an adapter from XTRONS, now the unit works like a charm.
It is a great stereo at a relatively affordable price, also great-looking stereo loaded with plenty of features.

Thanks for sharing. It seems Xtrons is the most cost effective aftermarket radio, right? I was thinking about upgradeing my car factory radio from Alpline or Xtrons, my budget is limited. But the Alpine is much more expensive. I was worried if Xtrons will work as well as Alpine. Your post assures me and I think I might just go ahead with Xtrons. Thanks again so much.
